Previous Coupon Post: How do I do It?
Get your coupons. Here are a few of the best resources:
- Buy a paper. Get a weekend newspaper by waiting for a deal or just buying it at current prices. It’s cheaper than buying them at the grocery store every week. Call or check the web site for your paper – they may offer a free trial subscription.
- Find in-Store Coupons. There are often coupon books, extra newspaper ads, or on-product or in-aisle coupons you can use. Just keep your eyes peeled.
- Scout for coupons. You can also find coupons by asking friends and neighbors for their unused coupons, joining a coupon swap or buying coupons online, scouting for coupons at local places, etc. I’ve never found these strategies worth my time or effort, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be in the future.
- Print coupons. There are also many deals that require printing your own coupons off the Internet. I rely on my blog resources to point me to the best ones (see below for those blogs).
